Craft Lab by YKK is a community center managed by YKK, a Japanese manufacturer of fasteners and buttons.
On the first floor, you can participate the handcrafting workshops with fasteners and buttons. (Reservation and participation fee required) On weekdays and days without events, some easy drop-in menus are available. (Fee required)
The second floor is an exhibition space where you can learn about the mechanism and history of fasteners. You can also see unusual fasteners used in many different fields.
The third floor is called "Creative Lounge" where you can get information on the latest trends and rare items in fasteners and buttons, and the fourth floor is a seminar room.
Craft Lab is just 3-minute walk from JR Akihabara Sta., Showa-dori Exit and the tours of the building are free, so please feel free to visit!
