Akihabara is famous for the electric town now, however during the Edo era it was the place of residence for the lower samurai. It is said that "Akihabara" was named of God. During Edo Era, Akihabara was suffering from fires, therefore the God of Fire, Akibadaigongen was divided and enshrined in this area.
The origin of the electric town is the black market appeared after the World War II. Later, because of radio assembly boom, Akihabara's good transportation, etc. overlapped, the number of companies dealing with electrical appliances increased. Now it has evolved into the current electric town.
Although it is a lively electric town, just a little walk will take you to the traces of "Shoshuzaka Academy" or "horse drinking place". You can feel the history of Akihabara.
APA Hotel Akihabara Ekimae opened in 2012. We are preparing the rooms with the view of Akihabara, or view of Sobu-Line train to welcome the guests.

●From  Tokyo International Airport(haneda).Tokyo-Monorail Sub Rapid (For Hamamatsucho), Transfer at Hamamatsucho station, Keihintohoku Line of JR (For Omiya),get off Akihabara station and Exit is ShowaDori ticket gate.It takes about 40 minutes.
●From　Naritaport.Narita-Airport KS(KeiSei line)skyliner(For Keisei-Ueno), Transfer at Nippori station,Yamanote Line of JR(For Tokyo)get off Akihabara station and Exit is ShowaDori ticket gate.It takes about an hour and a half.
