With the concept of "Walk around this bookstore and your world will broaden", they have a wide selection of books including the most talked-about new books to specialized books. They also have a life-style shop and a cafe. BOODS SANSEIDO Kanda Jimbocho main store is popular with a lot of people as a landmark that represents Jimbocho.

Established in 1881 (Meiji 14) as an antiquarian bookstore, expanding its business by running publishing and printing companies, now BOOKS SANSEIDO has become a bookstore many people visit. In 2022, they temporarily closed the store with the message, "We'll put a bookmark for a while." Then, in March, 2026, they reopened the bookstore with the concept of "Walk around the bookstore and your world will broaden."

Three meanings are infused with the name of the café: 馳走 is read as Chiso and means special food, 知創 is read as Chiso and means creating knowledge and 地層 is read as Chiso and means layers. They represent hospitality for visitors, meeting new knowledge and thoughts on history and culture of Jimbocho accumulated like layers. There are 40 seats and you can relax in the space with calm colors. You can enjoy Jimbocho specialty curry and mille crepes in the motif of books. It's very the cafe inside a bookstore.
