TOKYO STATION CAFE - THE NORTH DOME- has opened inside the North Dome of JR Tokyo Station, a café where you can feel the taste of Tokyo Station Marunouchi station building, designated as an Important Cultural Property.

When Tokyo Station was completed in 1914, at the waiting room at the exit of the ticket gate, some were looking forward to someone's arrival, some were basking in the afterglow of the trip. TOKYO STATION CAFE - THE NORTH DOME- was constructed to pass the atmosphere on to the present day. Inside the spacious shop surrounded by red-bricked wall that is designated as an Important Cultural Property, there are 63 seats and a stately atmosphere is spreading out.

  Original Dome-shaped Zuccotto (Fruits vary by season)

Their food menu contains sandwiches, hamburger steak, hashed beef and so on. You can enjoy seasonal sweets and afternoon tea set as well. Their limited number of "Original Dome-shaped Zuccotto" is a cake themed around the dome of the Marunouchi station building. Rich custard cream is used for the ceiling part and a lot of fruits are used to express a lot of people at the station. They change fruits seasonally, so each time you pay a visit, you can enjoy different taste.

• As for drinks, they have carefully selected tea, coffee, tea latte, juice and so on. For their "Original Blend Tea", India-produced Darjeeling and Assam with rich flavor and aroma is blended with Japanese black tea with mild sweetness. You can fully enjoy the taste like a fruit parfait with aroma of fresh muscat and peach. They also serve alcohol drink like wine, whisky, beer and light snacks so you can stop by after work or take a rest here.

At TOKYO STATION CAFE - THE NORTH DOME-, they have cakes with limited package that are perfect as a souvenir of Tokyo Station. "Tokyo Red Brick Pound Cake" is a dense cake to replicate the texture of the red bricks designated as an Important Cultural Property. This pound cake is moist with rich salted caramel flavor and has the texture of coarse sugar.

You can enjoy having food, sweets and drinks in the atmosphere that makes you feel the history at TOKYO STATION CAFE - THE NORTH DOME-. If want to have a relaxing time during sightseeing or while you are walking around Marunouchi, it is a highly recommended place.
