CineMalice, located three-minute walk from Jimbocho Station. This theater opened in December, 2025 under the philosophy of "Small but Good." You can have a chance to see a carefully selected film at CineMalice, where they play various kinds of films from a new release to old ones.

After Covid-19 pandemic, Ms. Inada, the manager thought "she wanted to do what she really wants to do." Because mini theaters she went to for a long time had closed in succession, she decided to open a movie theater by herself. She launched a company with her family and welcomed an experienced staff who had worked for a movie theater as a submanager, then started to prepare to open a movie theater. While looking for a place, they found an ideal place, the basement floor in Jimbocho. After repeated renovations, CineMalice was born.

CineMalice selects films to show under the themes of "Small but good quality film", "Various kinds of films of different countries", " Groundbreaking films that allow viewers to experience something innovative", "Films played on a massive scale in the country where the films were made, but haven't come to Japan yet", and "Independent films." Regardless of countries, areas or old and new, you can appreciate a wide variety of films.

The distinctive feature of CineMalice is that they introduce a subscription-based service. The monthly charge is 2,500 yen. If you choose the annual course, you pay 22,000 yen and can see 50 films subject to subscription. You can watch your favorite film as many times as you want. They accept an online booking so you can decide which film to watch according to your schedule.

There are two screens, at Theater 1 and Theater 2 and about 130 seats altogether. At Theater 1, they play new release previews and featured showing and at Theater 2, they play subscription-based films centering on semi-new films and old films. Another attractive feature is that they are particular about audio equipment, so you can enjoy films sterically.
