This cafe opened in April, 2024. Inside the cafe, there are audio equipment and a piano, and irregularly music events are held.

Gekkasha is located three-minute walk from both Jimbocho and Kudanshita Station. Cooperating with a mobile book store Harisyobo, this book cafe was opened by the owner of the jazz cafe Kissa Sakaiki in Yotsuya 3-chome that had been closed with being missed by people.

In April, 2024, Gekkasha opened on the first floor of a building along Yasukuni-dori Ave. Inside the cafe, you can feel the relaxed atmosphere with the exposed concrete walls and wooden interior. When you enter, you'll see stairs and there is a mezzanine floor.

On the bookshelves on the right side of the entrance, you can see an array of selected books including magazines, novels, and humanities.
The system is based on one order per an hour. The drink menu includes coffee and orange juice, as well as Shiratani tea from Kakinoki village in Shimane prefecture and carefully blended spice tea. You can have alcoholic drinks including beer, red or white wine, so you can enjoy reading while tipsy.

They recommend to fill up with Onigiri Set including side dishes, miso soup, and drink, or quiche. They also offer tea cakes like biscotti and muffins, or sweets like gelato.
