Meishu Center is located 5-minute walk from JR Ochanomizu Station. It's a Sake theme park, where you can compare and paid tasting sake from over 150 kinds. You can taste a selection of sake from all over Japan.

Meishu Center was born out of Bimy Monthly, specialized magazine to sake in Japan. Through visiting and interviewing Sakagura (Sake breweries) aii over Japan, they decided to open Meishu Center in 2000 with the hope that people could taste the thoughts between the lines that cannot be written in articles.

Stepping into the shop, you can see the wide variety of unique sake from gold standard of sake, rare high-grade sake that are hard to get in Tokyo. They carry sake from as many as 33 sake breweries that they visited while creating their magazines. In addition, other than sake, you can order liqueur and sake highball. There are six seats at the counter and 19 table seats so you can sit down and savor sake.

The paid comparison set,45ml per cup, set of three different types of three cups is recommended.It's 100 yen off from the total price. They say by tasting and comparing different kinds little by little at the same time, you can make it clear that what kind of sake is your favorite. By comparison sake, you can enjoy the balance of sweetness, dryness, astringency, bitterness, and the difference over the throat at Meishu Center. When you cannot decide by yourself, you can tell a staff about your preference and have them make selections. You can buy your favorite by the bottle or by the weight from 300ml or more.
