Okuno Karuta-ten was founded in 1921. They moved to the current store in Kanda-Jimbocho in 1979, and expanded its sales to the general public. They are also developing original products as a manufacturer. In November 2009, they redecorated the second floor and created a spacious exhibition space.

The store offers a wide range of games including domestic and international card games such as Karuta, Hyakunin Isshu, playing cards, Igo, Shogi, mahjong tiles, chess and indoor games such as puzzles.
